About charactors length of data
1. from Psion Sheet Application
As for importing from Sheet application, no need to care any charactors length, because the program processes automatically.
But names of variables and samples would be output 10 charactors limitted in the result text file. Because too long names would disturb eyeball of various result data in tiny resolution.
Regarding importing from Sheet, it's important to set 'number format' to General for all cells.

2. from Psion Data file
All importing charactors length are limitted to 18 charactors which is maximum length be able to calculate by EPOC R5, as text data for 64bits floating data.
All importing names of variables and samples are also limitted to 18 charactors by the software, and are output 10 charactors limitted in the result text file. Because too long names would disturb eyeball of various result data in tiny resolution.

In conclusion,
Therefore, I recommend to write numeral data under 18 charactors (except on Sheet), and to write names of variables & samples under 10 charactors, it's no problem to write names 18 charactors though.
1. from Psion Sheet Application
It's a very easy and efficient method.
At first, open Sheet file and select area of data which should be included names of variables and samples. All cells should be set General as their 'number format'.
Open Sheet file and entry data Please refer to about charactors length of data
At this condition, you may close sheet application or not. Whichever it doesn't matter.
Start up the software or bring it to foreground, and Tap "Import Sheet" of toolbar or select "Import Sheet" of menu
2. from Psion Data file
This method is not so efficient though, regarding speed and flexible-handling it's a best method.
I think this method is efficient for following data:
- very large data often analysed
- data is often made additional changes
- there are some illegal or void data
- data is often made additional changes
- there are some illegal or void data
At first you have to create data file.
Start up Data application and "Change labels"
Start up the software or bring it to foreground, and Tap "Import Data" of toolbar or select "Import Data" of menu. And so, a dialog box would be appeared and you can select the data file, and the software would read the data file.
Even If the software alert illegal data is included in the data file, you can ignore the sample with it, and can start to analyse.
3. from CSV file exported by the software
Start up the software, and Tap "Import CSV" of toolbar or select "Import CSV" of menu. And so, a dialog box would appear and a CSV file could be selected for be read.
Here is a sample csv file, which was exported by the software from one of sample data files.
As for exporting, start up the software and import any data file(data, csv, sheet), so the menu "Export to CSV" will be available.
